Kaushal Samachar: The month of November saw DDU-GKY, NIRDPR expanding itself to new horizons. Highlights include the team's interaction with the Additional Secretary, MoRD and Joint Secretary (Skills) MoRD at NIRDPR and the visit of the Executive Director, DDU-GKY, NIRDPR Shri. K V Satyanarayana to the CXO Meet Meghalaya, 2019. Another highlight was the visit of four officials from Bangladesh Rural Development Academy, who understood the working of DDU-GKY and visited a PIA centre for detailed understanding. Karnataka State Rural Livelihood Promotion Society launched a helpline for numerous programmes including DDUGKY. We are also promoting the usage of Kaushal Bharat ERP System and encouraging positive action from PIAs via Kaushal Pravesh training programmes.
CXO Meet Meghalaya, 2019
Shri K.V. Satyanarayana, Executive Director of DDU-GKY, NIRDPR, addressing the audience of the CXO meet in Meghalaya stated that when it comes to DDU-GKY, the approach of the Training Partners in programme implementation is crucial. The Executive Director emphasised that there are a few key points to bear in mind to ensure quality and sustainability of the programme. i) Prospective PIAs should understand the programme before submitting the application and utilise the hand holding support being offered by NIRDPR in the form of Kaushal Salaah and Kaushal Pravesh. ii) Conduct market survey to find out the demands of trades which is also crucial for successful implementation of the project by PIAs. iii) PIAs should hire professional counsellors for the purpose of retention of candidates during training and placement, in order to help them sustain the cultural and environmental shock at the work place or a new location. He concluded by urging the PIAs to have quality trainers so that they can give well equipped candidates to the industry.
Kaushal Pravesh: Induction for Newly Empanelled DDU-GKY PIAs
National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) as Central Technical Support Agency (CTSA) has conducted a 3-day induction training “KAUSHAL PRAVESH” for new PIAs at
1. Chandigarh for the newly on boarded Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) recommended by Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) during 7th and 8th Project Approval Committee (PAC) meeting. This program was organized to address the learning needs of PIAs to ensure the successful implementation of DDU-GKY project in the state of Punjab. Designated heads of PIAs were invited to attend the orientation program in two batches. Training sessions for Batch 1 and 2, was held from 5th Nov 2019 – 7th Nov 2019 and 13th Nov 2019 – 15th Nov 2019 respectively. 26 members from 8 new PIAs in Batch - I and 28 members from 9 new PIAs in Batch – II have attended the orientation program. PIAs were briefed on the basic knowledge of DDU-GKY Guidelines, Notifications, timelines and Standard operating procedures along with one day of field orientation and live demonstration at functional and active DDU-GKY Training Centre in order to deliver the practical understanding about the program implementation to PIAs. Best Practices and challenges associated with the Mobilization of beneficiaries and placements within organized sectors were also discussed.

Training Centre Inspection using Kaushal Bharat (ERP portal) by MoRD, ASRLM and CTSA in Assam
A team from Ministry of Rural Development, National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR) and Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission has tested the Inspection module though Kaushal Bharat by conducting Inspection of Training Centre of M/s Empower Pragati on 15th November 2019. MoRD representative has tested and appreciated the process flow of Desk and Onsite inspection module.
